Mr. LaPollo's Engineering and Technology Syllabus (ALL GRADES)
• WELCOME! I am excited to be your Engineering and Technology teacher this year. I have very high expectations for all of you and look forward to having a great and productive year!
8th grade classes are YEAR LONG; 7th Grade Classes are SEMESTER LONG; and 6th Grade Classes are 9 Weeks long.
Procedures:
Please read these procedures carefully so that you will know what is expected of you.
Behavior Expectations: Make informed decisions!
A. Be in the classroom PRIOR TO the tardy bell.
B. Come to class PREPARED and ready to learn (pencil sharpened, notebook, etc).
C. RESPECT others and RAISE YOUR HAND before speaking.
D. You are welcome to bring water in class to drink, - in a clear container, but please, no food.
E. DO NOT pack up your things before the class is dismissed, unless advised to do so.
F. Pick up after yourself – and others. Our classroom is a place we all share. If you see trash, pick it up. If something is out of place, return it to the right place.
G. Having a bad day? Any questions or problems can be discussed privately before or after class.
H. PARTICIPATION IS REQUIRED.

Responsible Technology Usage Policy: There is no use of private devices in the classroom at anytime and any use of school issued devices must follow district and school policies. Use of School devices in this classroom will be at the discretion of the teacher and only when permitted.
Failure to follow this policy can result in loss of the device and/or disciplinary actions as outlined in the SCCPSS Student Code of Conduct.
Classroom Procedures:
• Attendance: DO NOT BE TARDY! If you are not here, I cannot teach you! We have so much to learn this year that every minute of every class session counts.
• Bathroom Breaks: Handled upon request and must be logged.
• Materials Needed for Class: Pencil, Pen (blue or black ink), composition book, paper, any specific materials previously requested.
